CSM Hosts Veterans Day Breakfast
The College of Southern Maryland celebrates members of its community – students, faculty and staff members – who have served in the armed forces. In alignment with the country’s celebrations of military veterans on Veterans Day, the college held a Veterans Day breakfast Nov. 9 at the Center for Business and Industry Building at the La Plata Campus.
Viterito Named to Journal Editorial Board
A professor at the College of Southern Maryland has been named to the editorial board of the Journal of Environment Pollution and Climate Change. Dr. Arthur Viterito, a professor of geography at CSM since 2002, has been named an executive editor of the newly launched publication.
Second Performance in Recital Series Set
The second performance in the newly created Benny C. Morgan Recital Series is set for 8 pm Nov. 19 at the College of Southern Leonardtown Campus, and faculty member Hannah Baslee is set to perform.
CSM Holds CyberAwareness Day
CSM held CyberAwareness Day. The four-hour presentation allowed visitors to hear from professionals working with local cybersecurity companies, participate in a panel discussion, and learn what it takes to become a cybersecurity professional.
Celebrate Cuba at CSM in November
It’s International Week at the College of Southern Maryland. Celebrate the culture, sounds, and sights of Cuba on Nov. 15 and 16 at CSM’s La Plata and Prince Frederick campuses.

Cast Announced for CSM’s ‘Pinocchio’
Cast members have been announced for the College of Southern Maryland’s Main Stage Theatre production of “Pinocchio,” the classic tale of a wooden puppet who only wanted to be a real boy. The production is adapted from the original novel by Carlo Collodi.
