The St. Mary’s County Library will host a National Issues Forum on Reducing Violence. The forum will be held at the Lexington Park Library branch from 2 to 4 pm Jan. 27 on the topic: How Should Our Community Reduce Violence?

College of Southern Maryland students traveled to Annapolis on Feb. 8 to meet with their state legislators. The visit to the state capital was part of Student Advocacy Day, an annual event sponsored by the Maryland Association of Community Colleges.

Community Bank Donation to CSM Supports Students

The College of Southern Maryland Foundation has received a $100,000 donation from Community Bank of the Chesapeake. The funds are part of a five-year pledge for a permanent endowment fund and an annual scholarship fund that supports both credit and workforce development students.
