Cangelosi Eyes Certified Tutor Trainer Status

Laurie Cangelosi, a lead program coordinator at the College of Southern Maryland, received a 2016 Maurice Erly Professional Development Award from the Educational Systems Federal Credit Union. She will train to be a nationally certified tutor trainer and put the college on course for its own nationally certified tutor program.

Cangelosi learned this summer that she has been selected to receive a 2016 Maurice Erly Professional Development Award from the Educational Systems Federal Credit Union.

Recital Series Will Honor Benny Morgan

Starting out in college can be difficult for anyone, but there are specific challenges for veterans who have returned from deployment and are making the transition to both civilian and college life. To help with that transition, the US Department of Veterans Affairs brings readjustment counseling and information to veterans, and a VA representative will be at the College of Southern Maryland Prince Frederick Campus from 10 am to 2 pm Oct. 11.
