Two of the Health Sciences Division programs at the College of Southern Maryland have been re-accredited. The Associate Nursing Degree and Practical Nursing Certificate programs at the college have been granted eight years of accreditation with the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.

Four College of Southern Maryland students were honored for public service announcements they produced last semester as part of their digital media production class. Students from CSM and Towson University were invited to create and submit 30-second PSAs that warn state residents about the danger of items being stolen from cars in Maryland.

Contractor Wants to See More Women in Trades

Barbara Scotland has been a technical writer, an English professor, and a department chair, and now, thanks to training by the College of Southern Maryland, she is a housing contractor. Scotland, a resident of Hughesville, wants to see more women in trades.
