Canceled: JSHS Regional Symposium Returns to SMCM
The Patuxent Partnership again brings the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium Maryland Regional Competition to St. Mary’s College of Maryland, March 28, 2020. Regional participants will present their original research and experimentation in the sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics at the symposium. Regional winners progress to the National Symposium in Norfolk, VA, in April.

Lt. Gen. Reynolds to Give March 18 Briefing
Lt. Gen. Lori Reynolds, the Marine Corps’ deputy commandant for information, will offer a briefing sponsored by The Patuxent Partnership on March 18, 2020, at the University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland Building 2 in California, MD.
Panel Topic: Naval Aviation’s Flight Plan
The next Patuxent Partnership and Association of Naval Aviation panel discussion will be held 5 to 7 pm Wednesday, March 11, 2020. The evening’s topic will be “Naval Aviation’s Flight Plan to Infinity (at least 2021) and Beyond.”
Students Honored With TPP/INCOSE Awards
A special awards reception will be held Feb. 19 to honor students who won Patuxent Partnership and International Council on Systems Engineering awards at the St. Mary’s County Science & Engineering Fair held in January 2020.
Be Cyber-Compliant Or Be Gone
DoD will begin requiring all companies seeking any type of military contract be cyber-compliant beginning with the Requests for Proposals issued in September 2020. DoD’s chief information security office is setting up routes to assist contractors achieve compliance as well as helping an industry-designed nonprofit establish itself as the certification agency issuing compliance certifications.
TPP Hosts Cybersecurity Maturity Model Update
Version 0.4 of the draft Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification has been released for industry review and comment, and The Patuxent Partnership is hosting an update January 22.

Applications for the American Society of Naval Engineer’s Scholarships are now being accepted for the 2020-2021 academic year. The Patuxent Partnership reminds students that ASNE awards both undergraduate and graduate scholarships each academic year.
