An upgrade to the F-35’s engine is being developed. Pratt & Whitney says the changes will give the engine the power and cooling necessary to make the fighter jet even more of a powerhouse.

You won’t be commanding a ship, the Navy wants to recruit the “scientific or technical” skills needed to wage cyber war and needs to bring in those software engineers at a captain’s grade. A six-figure salary, commensurate with civilian workers, is necessary to bring the skill needed into the military.

What the F-22s have is a failure to communicate, with the F-35 and also the F-16 and other allied aircraft. The older fighter jet can receive communications, but cannot transmit its surveillance intelligence to the others.
