Hewitt’s Hopeful Project Will Light Up Lex Park
A public art project installed on the grounds of the Church of the Ascension in Lexington Park will be unveiled at 7pm Friday, April 19. The public is invited to gather to celebrate the lighting of the Hopeful Project sign.
Resource Day Rescheduled: Oct. 7
The 2022 autumn Community Resource Day has been rescheduled for Oct. 7 from 11 am to 2 pm. The Church of the Ascension is hosting the day at 21641 Great Mills Road, Lexington Park, MD 20653.
Sheriff to Host Faith & Blue Festival
St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office will join police agencies and faith organizations across the country as they celebrate National Faith & Blue Weekend. St. Mary’s will hold an event from 1-3 pm Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the District 4 police station in Lexington Park.
An Amazing Day of Teamwork, Support
April’s Feed St. Mary’s Mobile Food Drive was “kind of like Christmas.” A cadre of volunteers helped hand out 8,000 pounds of food for families and local food pantries.
