Coat, Clothing Drives in St. Mary’s


Everyone deserves to stay warm and safe during the winter. The Healthy St. Mary’s Partnership is providing a list of local drives for donating and receiving this season.

Event Shines Light on Recovery


The annual St. Mary’s Goes Purple Walk for Recovery will be held from 9am to noon Saturday, September 9, 2023, in the Leonardtown Square. Early registration is recommended.

Community Assistance Available


Local community assistance is available from many agencies in St. Mary’s County. The St. Mary’s County Homelessness Prevention Board recently compiled a list of helpful information.

Multiple groups are coming together to provide medical respite services to St. Mary’s County residents who are homeless.

Gelrud Golf Tourney – Oct. 20


The Jack Gelrud Memorial Golf Tournament to benefit Three Oaks Homeless Center will be held Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022. Proceeds from the tournament benefit programs that serve the homeless population in St. Mary’s County.

Home Upgrade Grants for Qualified Owners

The Housing Authority of St. Mary’s County, Maryland is providing weatherization upgrade grants with funding from the Maryland Energy Administration. Qualified homeowners can receive no cost upgrades that save money on monthly utility bills and make homes more energy efficient.

Homelessness Prevention Board to Meet


The St. Mary’s County Homelessness Prevention Board will meet at 12:15 pm Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Three Oaks Center supports the board.

St. Mary’s Has Cooling Centers Available

A heat advisory remains in effect for St. Mary’s County until 7pm today, Tuesday, August 9, 2022. St. Mary’s County government will have cooling centers available during regular hours today.
