A book discussion series for veterans is being led by Vietnam veteran Wayne Karlin. The Veterans Book Group meets virtually via Zoom from 10 am to noon on the first Saturday of the month.

The St. Mary’s County Library will host a virtual Veterans Day Author Talk with Wayne Karlin at 6:30 pm Wednesday, November 10, 2021.

New Library Hours Beginning May 3

Starting May 3, hours at the St. Mary’s County Library branches will change. The new expanded hours will be 9 am to 8 pm Monday through Thursday and 9 am to 5 pm Friday and Saturday. The libraries will be closed on Sundays.

St. Mary’s County Library announces a limited public opening March 8 when customers may again browse the collection and use public computers, copiers, and fax machines. Precautions will be in place.

Students Can Access Online Resources With SMART Card


St. Mary’s County Public Schools and St. Mary’s County Library are launching new student library cards called St. Mary’s Access to Research & Technology, or SMART cards. The cards offer access to all of the library’s online resources.
