A New Flying Classroom for Test Pilots
An old Fairchild Swearingen C-26A Metroliner is now the Airborne Systems Training and Research Support, or ASTARS III, and belongs to the Test Pilot School at NAS Pax. The aircraft will serve as a flying classroom.

The Maryland Insurance Administration, a state regulatory agency, will offer a variety of consumer materials on all types of insurance products from annuities to title insurance and health, auto, and homeowners insurance. Trained staff will be available in Charles and St. Mary’s counties in July to answer consumer questions.
Chautauqua Brings Living History to CSM

Student Reaps Benefits of STEM Education
Kristina Babinski, 29, of Pomfret graduated in May with an associate degree in electrical engineering. The real benefit of her STEM Education at College of Southern Maryland, however, is the professional experience she gained last summer interning with the University of Maryland’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems Test Site along with two other CSM engineering students.
