Fishing Industry Relief Aid On the Way

Maryland’s congressional delegation announced an award of $4,125,118 for Maryland’s fishing industry through the Department of Commerce and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Patton’s WWII Command Car Up for Auction

Gen. George S. Patton’s customized 4×4 Command Car was part of the 3rd Army headquarters’ motorpool, built in 1944 with a series of modifications to suit the general’s preferences. It will be auctioned June 13 to benefit a nonprofit educational center for for K-12 students and returning veterans.

Maryland’s congressional delegation is urging coordination between US Fisheries and states to quickly allocate assistance and inclusion of Maryland’s seafood processors in relief aid set aside in the CARES Act for fisheries.
