Health Hub Earns $5M Grant to Continue Work
The St. Mary’s County Health Department has been awarded $5 million from a state program that aims to reduce health disparities and improve health outcomes in underserved communities. The grant will help sustain operations at the Health Hub in Lexington Park.

Register for Summer Fun Camp at Carver
Summer Fun Camp will be offered at Carver Recreation Center beginning the week of June 24 and will run for one-week sessions through August 9, 2024, from 7am to 5:30pm. Camps will also be held at the Hollywood and Margaret Brent rec centers.

Memorial Day Schedule for St. Mary’s Govt.
All St. Mary’s County government administrative offices will be closed Monday, May 27, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Offices will resume normal operating schedules May 28. Great Mills Pool will be open 11am to 5pm. The St. Clement’s Island Museum, Piney Point Lighthouse Museum, Old Jail Museum, and Wicomico Shores Golf Course will be open.
Lex Park Library Open for Limited Use May 6-12
The Lexington Park Library will install new shelving starting May 6. The project should be finished by May 13. During that time, the lobby will be open, and customers can pick up their holds to checkout. The main part of the library will be closed to the public.
