Last Weekend for ‘Christmas Carol’

Holiday Storytime for Kids in Lex Park

A free and festive open house for all ages will be held from 1 to 3pm Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the US Colored Troops Interpretive Center in Lexington Park featuring Christmas storytimes, holiday cookies, refreshments, and Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Carver Elementary Earns National Award

George Washington Carver Elementary School in Lexington Park has been named a National ESEA Distinguished School by the Maryland State Department of Education.

Celebrate Lex Park’s Holly Days Dec. 6-7

Join the Lexington Park Business Association in supporting Lexington Park Holly Days. There will be a Tree & Menorah Lighting Ceremony at 5:30pm December 6 and then on December 7 from 1-4pm, a Holly Days Extravaganza will take shape throughout the library.

Silent Angel Memorial Honors Lives Lost to Homicide

Community members are invited to join the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office for the annual Silent Angel Memorial at 6pm Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department. The ceremony honors the lives of those lost to homicide and offers families and friends a time to come together in remembrance.

‘A Christmas Carol’ Nov. 21-Dec. 14 @ Three Notch

Mural Unveiled at Pax River Village Center

Artist Rosalia Torres-Weiner has created a mural at the Pax River Village Center on Great Mills Road to honor the Latino community. “Painting this mural in Lexington Park has been such a gift!” she says.

HSMP to Hold Domestic Violence Panel

The Healthy St. Mary’s Partnership’s Violence Injury and Trauma Action Team and the Southern Maryland Center for Family Advocacy will hold the annual “Why Don’t They Just Leave Panel” on October 20 at the Lexington Park Library.
