Open House Aug. 3 @ Drayden Schoolhouse
The St. Mary’s County Museum Division, in partnership with the Unified Committee for Afro-American Contributions, will offer a free open house at the Drayden African American Schoolhouse in Drayden from 11am to 2pm August 3.
Things Are STEAM-ing @ Piney Point Museum
Children ages 8 to 12 are invited to enjoy four days of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) programming at the Piney Point Lighthouse Museum from July 8-11, 2024, or July 22-25, 2024.

2nd Saturday Outdoor Family Activities
All ages are invited to enjoy new outdoor activities while visiting the Piney Point Lighthouse Museum of the St. Clement’s Island Museum on the second Saturday of the month throughout the year.
Blue Star Museum Program Begins May 18
Historic St. Mary’s City and St. Clement’s Island and Piney Point Lighthouse museums will join the Blue Star Museums initiative, a program that provides free admission to currently serving US military personnel and their families. The 2024 program runs May 18-September 2.

The Piney Point Lighthouse Museum and the St. Clement’s Island Museum are still offering their holiday exhibits this week. The exhibits will continue daily until January 1, 2024.

Start Off the Holidays in Piney Point
The Piney Point Lighthouse Museum hosted an open house November 26. The museum kicked off the holiday season with family activities, refreshments, and more. The holiday exhibit will continue daily until January 1.
County Museums’ Winter Hours of Operation
The St. Clement’s Island Museum in Colton’s Point, the Old Jail Museum & Visitor Center in Leonardtown, and the Piney Point Lighthouse Museum in Piney Point will continue to be open daily from 10am to 5pm, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day when they are closed.
