Open Houses in February at USCT Interpretive Center
See the US Colored Troops Medal of Honor recipient exhibits at the USCT Interpretive Center in Lexington Park during free open houses 10am to 2pm every Wednesday and Saturday in February.

Free open houses will be held from 11am to 2pm October 4 and 18, 2025, at the historic African American schoolhouse in Drayden.
Dads Can Visit Free June 15 at Piney Point, St. Clement’s Museums
St. Clement’s Island Museum and Piney Point Lighthouse Museum will offer free museum admission for dads on Father’s Day, June 15, during normal operating hours 10am to 5pm.
Open Houses at Drayden Schoolhouse
The next open house at the Drayden African American Schoolhouse will be Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 11am to 2pm.
Final 2024 Schoolhouse Open House on Saturday
The last open house for 2024 at the Drayden African American Schoolhouse will be held 11am to 2pm October 19.
Community Conversation on County’s Museums

Museums Set Year-Round Operating Hours
St. Clement’s Island Museum, Piney Point Lighthouse Museum and the Old Jail Museum will remain open 10am – 5pm year-round beginning Nov. 1, 2022. Drayden African American Schoolhouse will remain closed until spring and the Water Taxi at St. Clement’s Island Museum will cease operations by Oct. 31, 2022, to resume cruises on Maryland Day, March 25, 2023.
