STEM Festival Comes to St. Mary’s
St. Mary’s County Public Schools is planning its third annual STEM Festival and Expo, supported by The Patuxent Partnership and other partners.

The Patuxent Partnership will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center in Center Hall in Building 2 at 44219 Airport Road in California.
‘Missiles of October’ Documentary to Be Shown
A viewing and discussion of the documentary, “The Missiles of October: What the World Didn’t Know,” will be presented Wednesday, Oct. 18, the 55th anniversary of the Cuban missile crisis when the secret deployment of Soviet missiles in Cuba brought the world to the brink of a nuclear war.
NAWCAD’s Taylor to Speak in Dahlgren
The Patuxent Partnership will present Leslie Taylor, executive director of the Naval Air Warfare Center Division and deputy assistant commander for Test and Evaluation at NAVAIR, speaking from 8 to 9:30 am Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the University of Mary Washington in Dahlgren.
Industry Day Planned by NAWCAD
The Naval Air Warfare Center Air Division, or NAWCAD, is planning an Industry Day for Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017.
Donations Sought for Hurricane Relief

5th-Graders Bring Robotics for All
What began as a research project by a group of Ridge Elementary School fifth-graders is now a countywide STEM initiative making robotics available to all 18 St. Mary’s County public elementary schools.
