Come join The Newtowne Players as they take theatergoers on a magical journey to the heart and soul of Broadway. This year’s show, “A Night on Broadway. Sight, Sound and Song,” runs through June 4.

Youth Mapping Project Seeks Coordinator

Young people will conduct a block-by-block inventory of resources in the Lexington Park area this summer. They will comb the community, surveying the public in commercial areas, and interview representatives of agencies and local businesses to collect information on the community’s need for a youth center.

A steering committee campaigning for a youth center in Lexington Park is launching a summer project, Community Youth Mapping, to inventory local resources for young people and families and inform the community about plans for the summer.
Approximately 25 young people between the ages of 15 to 20 will conduct a block-by-block inventory of resources in the Lexington Park area.

Great Mills Pool to Close for Maintenance

The Great Mills swimming pool will close from May 15 to 26, 2017, for routine seasonal maintenance. The pool will open Saturday, May 27.

The commissioners of St. Mary’s County want to hear from the county’s residents about a construction project to extend Rogers Drive to intersect with Willows Road, near John G. Lancaster Park, in Lexington Park, Maryland.
