The Scott Verbic Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, at Wicomico Shores Golf Course. Proceeds support the youth scholarship program that allows children in St. Mary’s County to attend summer camp, sports, and other leisure programs throughout the year at discounted rates.

It’s time for citizens to clean out barns, basements, sheds, garages, storage areas under kitchen sinks and properly discard potentially toxic/dangerous materials. St. Mary’s County residents wishing to safely dispose of household hazardous waste materials will once again have an opportunity to do so. The St. Andrew’s Landfill will host a Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, from 8 am and 4:30 pm.
