LP Health Hub Temporarily Closes Drive-Thru

The drive-thru operations at the St. Mary’s Health Department’s Health Hub in Lexington Park will temporarily close November 16-18 for maintenance. The Health Hub is at 21625 Great Mills Road. Normal drive-thru operations at the Health Hub will resume on Monday, November 21.

Black Civil War Soldiers Exhibit Makes Stop in Lex Park

The “Seventeen Men: Portraits of African American Civil War Soldiers” exhibit will make a stop in Lexington Park. The traveling exhibit will be available free to the public on select days September 7 through December 7, 2022. An opening reception will be held 3 to 6 pm Thursday, September 1, 2022.

Shakespeare Heads to St. Mary’s City

The Newtowne Players are taking the show on the road. The theater troupe will present “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in Historic St. Mary’s City from August 11-20, 2022. Tickets must be purchased online.

Donations Sought for Back-to-School Fair

The St. Mary’s County NAACP 7025 will hold a back-to-school fair August 13 from 8:30 am to 3 pm at Green Holly Elementary School. Backpacks and school supplies will be given away to SMCPS Title I Schools Parent Conference attendees, while supplies last.
