Document Shredding Event Set Nov. 3
The St. Mary’s County Department of Public Works & Transportation will host its sixth annual community document shredding event at the St. Andrew’s Landfill from 8 am to noon Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018.
September Report Shows Job Gains

Hoyer Visits Fire and Rescue Institute
Congressman Steny H. Hoyer took a tour of the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute of the University of Maryland. While he was at the institute, Congressman Hoyer was able to meet with firefighters, EMT personnel, and instructors. He also took a tour of the facility and was able to see the equipment used to train fire and emergency services personnel.
Most F-35s Return to Flight
Most F-35s return to flight operations after fuel tubes were inspected. About 20 percent are still awaiting replacement tubes.
