Newtowne Players Present “Christmas Belles”

The Newtowne Players will present the Jones Hope Wooten comedy “Christmas Belles” through Dec. 16. Performances will be Thursday-Saturday at 8 pm, with Sunday matinees at 3:30 pm.

A construction contract has been awarded to build a new Sheriff’s Office District Office in Lexington Park. The contract was awarded by the commissioners of St. Mary’s County in late October.

Museums Join Bells of Peace Event

The St. Clement’s Island and Piney Point Lighthouse museums are joining the Bells of Peace event Nov. 11, 2018, at 11 am, honoring the 116,516 Americans who died in World War I.
