Unique Gifts at Ornament Show and Sale
For the 10th year in a row, Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center will offer the most unique gift-buying opportunity in the region: the annual Ornament Show and Sale. The event is set for Nov. 17, 2017, through Jan. 1, 2018, in the main gallery of Annmarie Garden.
Global Cinema Series Continues at SMHEC
The next film in the 2017 Global Cinema Series will be shown Dec. 14 at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center. The film will start at 6:30 pm and will be introduced by Jim Bershon. Admission is free.
Musical ‘Ragtime’ On Stage at CSM
“Ragtime,” the musical based on the novel by E.L. Doctorow, is coming to the stage at the College of Southern Maryland’s La Plata Campus.

Halloween Fun Awaits Youngsters
Annmarie Garden will host its trick-or-treating festival, Halloween in the Garden, from 11 am to 4 pm Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017. For the 18th year, youngsters and their families are invited to parade down Annmarie’s wooded path collecting treats and small gifts from more than 70 booths.
For Kids at AMG, It’s Full STEAM Ahead
Children can learn and experience so many wonderful things at Full STEAM Ahead, a free family event, from 1 to 4 pm Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center in Solomons.

Cardboard Day of Play Set at Annmarie
Families with children of all ages can head to Annmarie Garden on Oct. 15, 2017, for the third annual Cardboard Day of Play. This celebration of the Global Cardboard Challenge will take place from noon to 4 pm, and admission is free for members. Non-members pay $4; kids 4 and younger are admitted free.
CSM Children’s Theatre Opens New Season
The College of Southern Maryland’s Children’s Theatre opens its new season with “My Children! My Africa!” on Oct. 6 and 7 at the college’s La Plata Campus.
Jazz Quartet Kicks Off Recital Series
