The Great Mills Swimming Pool will close for seasonal maintenance Friday, May 10, through Friday, May 24. During this time, the pool’s air supported dome structure will be removed, converting the pool to an outdoor facility. Other seasonal maintenance and staff training also will take place while the pool is closed.

The family of Timothy Butler of St. Mary’s County has set up a GoFundMe account to raise money to purchase a conversion van to transport Tim to and from doctor appointments. Without a van, the family must use an ambulance service to get him to his appointments.
