Columbus Day Closings Announced
All St. Mary’s County government administrative offices, the Statewide Special Transportation Assistance Program, and senior nutrition centers will be closed Oct. 8 in observance of Columbus Day. The St. Andrews Landfill, six convenience centers, and St. Mary’s Transit System will be open and operate as normal Oct. 8.
“Stuff the Bus” During Transportation Week
St. Mary’s County is getting an early start celebrating National Transportation Week, which kicks off May 16. St. Mary’s Transity System (STS) will be celebrating the week asking the community to come forward and “stuff the bus” with donations of non-perishable food items for local pantries.
