NAACP Organizes Back To School Fair

The St. Mary’s County branch of the NAACP is planning a Back To School Fair for Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, from noon to 3 pm.

Motorcade to Solomons Kicks Off Operation Patuxent

Operation Patuxent will kick off Friday evening, Aug. 2, with a mini-Rolling Thunder tribute motorcade to Solomons followed by a World War II night of remembrance and music. The motorcade will assemble in Lexington Park at 5 pm.

Heat Advisory Issued for Region

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for areas of Maryland including St. Mary’s County through 8 pm July 17, 2019. Heat indexes may reach 105 to 110 degrees.
