When Kayleigh Lister heard her guidance counselor at Calvert High School talk about dual enrollment at the College of Southern Maryland, she knew the program was for her. Tony Galeano has returned to his former position as head coach of the College of Southern Maryland men’s soccer team. Mr. Galeano was the men’s soccer coach from 2002 to 2011, and then coached women’s soccer in 2015.
On June 14, the St. Mary’s County Health Department, College of Southern Maryland, and the Behavioral Health Action Team, supported by MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, will provide a free training on providing affirmative behavioral health care for people who identify as LGBTQIA.

College of Southern Maryland alumnus Dillon Banis has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship. The award gives Banis, a CSM 2014 grad, the opportunity to work in Germany to assist English teachers while serving as a cultural ambassador for the US.

The College of Southern Maryland men’s basketball team won the 2017 Region XX Division II Men’s Basketball Championship and competed in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Tournament for the first time in the program’s history.
