After serving as interim director of Land Use and Growth Management for St. Mary’s County Government, Bill Hunt has been appointed to the position by the Commissioners of St. Mary’s County. The appointment will take effect June 30, 2017.

Neighborhoods across St. Mary’s County will be teaming up with the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 1, 2017, for the annual National Night Out. Deputies will spend time in neighborhoods, which will plan block parties and more to bring out residents for a visit from 6 to 8 pm.
