Nationwide Test of Emergency Alert System Set

The Federal Emergency Management Agency, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission, will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System on Wednesday, Aug. 7. The nationwide test will be sent to radio and television stations beginning at 2:20 pm.

Motorcade to Solomons Kicks Off Operation Patuxent

Operation Patuxent will kick off Friday evening, Aug. 2, with a mini-Rolling Thunder tribute motorcade to Solomons followed by a World War II night of remembrance and music. The motorcade will assemble in Lexington Park at 5 pm.
