The Newtowne Players are bringing Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” to Historic St. Mary’s City from August 7 – 16. Tickets are on sale now.

August Open Houses @ Drayden Schoolhouse

Free open houses will be offered at the Drayden African American Schoolhouse on the first and third Saturday of the month from 11am to 2pm. Dates include August 2 and 16, September 6 and 20, and October 4 and 18.

Home Grown Market Adds Wednesday Hours

The Home Grown Farm Market in Lexington Park is now open on Wednesdays through the end of August in addition to the regular Saturday hours.

Point Lookout Lighthouse Open for Tours

The historic Point Lookout Lighthouse at the southern tip of St. Mary’s County is ready to welcome the public. Visitors will be able to tour the lighthouse Thursdays through Mondays.
