NAS Pax River Issues Noise Advisory
Communities surrounding Webster Outlying Field are advised that fixed wing aircraft testing events involving low-level approaches to the airfield are scheduled to occur December 5-6 and December 9-13, 2019, between 10 am and 2 pm.
Noise Advisory for Practice Landings 11/20-12/13
Communities surrounding Naval Air Station Patuxent River are advised that noise-generating testing events are scheduled to take place November 20-December 13, 2019 from 7:15 am to 7 pm.
Repairs at Pax Change Flight Patterns
NAS Patuxent River flight patterns have changed due to runway repairs. Local communities may notice increased noise levels.
Noise Advisory: Supersonic Flights Until May 11
Residents of communities along the Atlantic coast from Delaware to the Eastern Shore of Virginia are advised that four supersonic flights previously scheduled in late April are scheduled to take place May 3 through 11, 2018, within the Atlantic Test Track. These events could generate a loud booming noise that may be heard by nearby residents.
Night Flight Noise Advisory Set March 5-6
Communities surrounding the Naval Air Station Patuxent River are advised that noise-generating nighttime testing events are scheduled to take place March 5 through March 6, 2018, between 5 and 11 pm each evening.
Pax Noise Advisory: Controlled Detonation Set Feb. 14
NAS Patuxent River will conduct a single controlled detonation near the water by Fishing Point (just to the north of East Basin) between noon and 1 pm Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018. There is no threat to the public of St. Mary’s or Calvert counties, but the detonation may be heard in the area and across the river on Solomons Island.
