Naval District Washington will host a hiring event/job fair from 10am to 2pm Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department in Lexington Park.
Burfield New CO at NAS Pax River
CAPT Douglas Burfield assumed command of Naval Air Station Patuxent River in a ceremony Jan. 10. CAPT Burfield relieves outgoing commanding officer CAPT Derrick Kingsley, who is retiring after 27 years of naval service.

Sea Scout Completes Bee Project at Pax
Colin Maupin of Sea Scouts Ship 1942 built mason bee houses and installed them at NAS Patuxent River as part of his Eagle Scout project.
Rice, Moore Selected Civilians of Year at Pax
Jason Rice and Russell Moore were named the Naval Air Station Patuxent River Senior and Junior Civilians of the Year, respectively.
Pax River to Participate in Hurricane Exercise
Naval Air Station Patuxent River will be joining other naval installations in the National Capital Region as they participate in the annual Hurricane Exercise/Citadel Gale 2019, also called HURREX/CG19, from April 15 to 26.
