A free COVID-19 vaccine clinic for children ages 6 months to 18 will be offered January 19, 2024, from 9 to 11:30am and 1 to 3pm at the St. Mary’s County Health Department in Leonardtown. Appointments are required; call 301-475-4419.

The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine will be offered to residents of the Lexington Park/Great Mills area from 1:30 to 4 pm Tuesday, June 15, at Walden, a Pyramid Healthcare Organization at 21770 FDR Blvd. Suite B in Lexington Park.

Restrictions Lifted at Vets Cemeteries

Starting Wednesday and just ahead of the Memorial Day weekend, the Veterans Affairs department will lift restrictions on visitors to veterans cemeteries provided they have been vaccinated against coronavirus. That means no masks and no social distancing required, and no limits on group size.

DoD Issues Report on Its Telework Practices

The Pentagon releases a new report on teleworking practices since the pandemic sent majority of employees to work from home. Among the findings: 47% of those responding said their productivity increased while working from home during the pandemic, 41% felt they were about as productive while teleworking as they were in the office, and nearly 12% felt their productivity slipped.
