Vaccines to Be Offered at Juneteenth Event
The St. Mary’s County Health Department will offer free COVID-19 vaccinations at the 2021 Juneteenth Festival. The event will be held at John G. Lancaster Park at 21550 Willows Road in Lexington Park from 2 to 6 pm Saturday, June 19, 2021.

St. Inie’s Coffee has partnered with the St. Mary’s County NAACP chapter to put together a Friday Night in the Park event at Lancaster Park from 6 to 9 pm Friday, June 28.
Rogers Drive in Lex Park to Be Extended
Rogers Drive will be extended from Missouri Avenue in Colony Square to Willows Road. The St. Mary’s County Commissioners recently signed a contract with the St. Mary’s Community Development Corporation (CDC) to design and construct the extension.
Ribbon Cut on Lancaster Park Improvements
Now that major improvements have been made at John G. Lancaster Park in Lexington Park, a ribbon-cutting ceremony has been set Sept. 26 to celebrate.

Improvements are in the design/engineering stage and include mutli-purpose athletic fields.
Expect Dancers, Drummers and Delays for Saturday Parade
A parade and a carnival come to Lexington Park. Some roads to close at 9:45. Parade parking at Millison Plaza, Lancaster Park and St. Mary’s Square.
