Public Input Sought on FDR Phase 3

CSM Alum Earns Fulbright Teaching Award
College of Southern Maryland alumnus Dillon Banis has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship. The award gives Banis, a CSM 2014 grad, the opportunity to work in Germany to assist English teachers while serving as a cultural ambassador for the US.
MetCom Task Force Seeks Volunteers
Two volunteers are being sought by the St. Mary’s County commissioners and the Metropolitan Commission to serve on a task force that will offer proposed amendments to the Code of St. Mary’s County Chapter 113: Sanitary Districts.
Vendor Fair Planned June 2 at Hospital
The MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary and Special Activities Committee will host a fundraiser Vendor Fair featuring independent sales representatives from 10 am to 6 pm Friday, June 2, 2017. A rain date of June 9 has been set.
Memorial Day Closings
College of Southern Maryland will be closed Saturday, May 27, through Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. The college will resume normal operations Tuesday, May 30.
Doering Is Hospital’s Auxilian of the Year
Kitty Doering has been named the 2017 Fayrene Mattingly Auxilian of the Year by MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital. Ms. Doering was honored during the hospital’s spring luncheon April 21.
Math, Science Teachers Honored by SMECO
Fifteen math and science teachers in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s County schools have been selected for the Outstanding Teacher awards from Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative.
