The St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission is reporting sanitary sewer overflows at the Marlay Taylor Water Reclamation Facility and in Piney Point, Forrest Run, Cedar Cove, Villages of Leonardtown, Essex South, California Run, Pembrooke, and St. George Island.

All St. Mary’s County government administrative offices will be closed Nov. 28 and 29 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. County government offices will reopen Monday, Dec. 2.

More than $201,000 in scholarships were awarded on May 14, 2019, during the Business, Education and Community Alliance Scholarship Awards Ceremony at the Dr. James A Forrest Career and Technology Center, and the Metropolitan Commission in St. Mary’s County was there to participate in the BECA program.
