SMECO 75 Bike Ride Coming Up
Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative is committed to the community, and each year it raises money for a different charity in the region through two main fund-raisers: the SMECO 75 Bike Ride in June and the Charity Golf Tournament in October.
SMECO 75 Funds Donated to Local Groups
Employees of Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative have a lot to be proud of. Through two fund-raising efforts like the SMECO 75 Bike Ride and a golf tournament, SMECO staffers have recently donated $47,642 to non-profit organizations that help the environment in Southern Maryland.
Bike Ride Will Benefit Environmental Groups
For the sixth year, Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative employees will host their sixth annual bike ride. The event will be held June 3.
SMECO Nominating Committee Meets May 13
The 2017 Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative Nominating Committee — appointed at the March meeting of SMECO’s Board of Directors — will meet at 9 am Saturday, May 13, 2017, to select candidates for SMECO’s board.
Cyclists Can Register for Benefit Ride
Cyclists can now register for the Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative’s sixth annual benefit ride, the SMECO 75 Bike Ride.
SMECO Donates to Operation: Tohidu
This year, SMECO was able to donate $53,476 to Melwood’s Operation: Tohidu because of the money raised during the SMECO 75 Bike Ride in June and the SMECO Annual Charity Golf Outing in October.
