Lower Electric Rates Coming for SMECO Customers

Small Business Owners Present Services
A group of local contracting firms got the chance to present their services to potential public and private clients during a business procurement showcase in October, hosted by College of Southern Maryland’s Small Business Development Center, with help from the Maryland Department of Transportation and State Highway Administration. Students Earn Security+ Certification
As Tammie J. Thompson, a Waldorf resident, finished the CompTIA Security+ course at the College of Southern Maryland, she quickly found that the course successfully prepared her to earn Security+ certification, a valuable certification for information technology professionals which indicates mastery of foundational network security skills and knowledge.
Phone Scam Targeting SMECO Customers
Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative was recently contacted by about 20 customer-members who received phone calls from scammers targeting businesses in the area.
