A new traffic signal will be constructed at the intersection of Pegg Road and proposed FDR Boulevard in Lexington Park. Work to install the traffic signal foundations will take place between March 30 and April 3, 2026.

Traffic Notice: Pegg Road Roundabout Construction

St. Mary’s County Department of Public Works & Transportation will construct a new roundabout at the intersection of Pegg Road and Westbury Boulevard. Work is expected to begin on or about March 17, 2026.

County to Cut the Ribbon on FDR

The ribbon is about to be cut on a new section of FDR Boulevard. On Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, at 1 pm, the St. Mary’s County commissioners will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of a section of FDR Boulevard.

UK’s Top Test Pilot Compares F-35, Harrier

The Royal Air Force’s top test pilot says there is no comparison between the F-35 and the Harrier. Andy Edgell, stationed at NAS Patuxent River, said the F-35 and the Harrier, despite broadly doing the same thing (landing vertically), are “almost incomparable” in flying terms.
