Help Paint a Mural at Lex Park Health Hub
St. Mary’s County community members are invited to a public mural painting day from noon to 4pm November 4, 2023, at the Lexington Park Health Hub on Great Mills Road.
Flags Lowered to Honor Bay District Firefighter
St. Mary’s County has ordered the Maryland state flag and the St. Mary’s County flag lowered to half-staff to honor Bay District Volunteer Fire Department firefighter Marcus Paxton. Mr. Paxton died April 10.
Bay District’s Fire Engine 92 Moving On
The St. Mary’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation, in collaboration with Bay District Volunteer Fire Department, provided transportation services for the relocation of old Fire Engine 92.
Bay District Earns Class 2 ISO Rating
The Metropolitan Commission of St. Mary’s County is reminding homeowners in the area that effective March 1, 2019, the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department Public Protection Classification fire rating was upgraded.
