US Navy pilots are flying dozens of daily missions from the USS Harry S. Truman in the Mediterranean region. The Truman has been in the region since December, making it the longest stretch in decades for US ships to stay in that region.

The MV-22 Osprey conducted its first night landings on the HMS Queen Elizabeth. The tiltrotor aircraft was from HX-21 Squadron based at NAS Pax River.

The US Navy is an enthusiastic supporter of 3D printing technology. Naval Air Systems Command has completed some test flights featuring 3D printed critical components. In May, 3D-printed parts for a MV-22 Osprey were used. The Osprey, which was fitted with a partially 3D printed engine nacelle, performed exactly as expected.
