CSM Earns Workplace Excellence Awards
The College of Southern Maryland has received several Workplace Excellence Awards from the Alliance for Workplace Excellence (AWE) this year, as announced at an annual award luncheon in Gaithersburg June 8.
Summer Fun at Kids’ & Teen College
The Kids’ and Teen College continues at the College of Southern Maryland with its tradition of offering comprehensive, summer enrichment programs for children ages 5 to 17 years old. These half-day or full-day programs allow kids and teens to design a summer experience specific to their interests.
Awards, Scholarships Earned by Art Students
About 60 College of Southern Maryland art students were part of the college’s 2018 Annual Juried Student Exhibition, and eight of the students earned awards for their work.
Government Partnerships Benefit CSM Student
A 20-year-old College of Southern Maryland student from Dentsville has been able to benefit from government partnerships with the college, taking full advantage of the school’s connection to labs and Navy bases in the region.

Denise Gilmer-Knudson, a 15-year communication professor, has received the College of Southern Maryland’s Faculty Excellence Award.
Open House Set at CSM’s Regional Campus
The College of Southern Maryland is planning an Open House of its Regional Campus from 10 am to 2 pm July 28, 2018. The open house will highlight the campus’ Center for Trades & Energy Training, or CT, Building.

College of Southern Maryland has opened a renovated Fitness and Nature Trail on its Leonardtown Campus. Open to the community, the trail is intended for recreational and educational use.
