Congressman Steny H. Hoyer spoke at the annual Black History Month Breakfast held earlier this month in Prince George’s County. The congressman has helped organize the event for 42 years.
Arts Council Hosts McNeill Photo Exhibit
A special edition of the Leonardtown, MD, A&E Artist Spotlight series will feature the life and work of renowned American photographer Robert H. McNeill. The St. Mary’s County Arts Council is also hosting an exhibit of Mr. McNeill’s jazz photography at its gallery in town. The show will run throughout February.

VP Harris to Keynote Virtual Program
Congressman Steny H. Hoyer announced that the 40th annual Black History Month celebration will go virtual this year. It will take place at 10 am Feb. 27, 2021, and Vice President Kamala Harris will be the keynote speaker. The theme of this year’s celebration is “The Black Family: Representation, Identity, and Diversity.”
