SMECO Scholarship Application Deadline April 1
Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative will award four $2,500 scholarships to local high school students who excel in their endeavors and show promise in their chosen field of study. Students have until April 1, 2025, to apply.
Spring Break Program at Piney Point Museum
A Junior Historian program will be offered at Piney Point Lighthouse Museum from April 14 to 17, 2025. The program will run for three hours each day and will offer a blend of outdoor exploration and hands-on history lessons.
Summer Camps Registration Opens March 3
Registration for St. Mary’s County Department of Recreation & Parks summer camps and school age care programs for the 2025-26 school year will open March 3.
Event Aims to Increase Poverty Awareness
A poverty simulation event will be held March 7 from 8am to 3pm at Lexington Park Elementary School. The event will be an interactive learning experience designed to increase poverty awareness.
