Lillian Bridges of Calvert County has been named the first-place winner of the 2017 Fifth District Congressional Art Competition, announced recently by Congressman Steny H. Hoyer. Ms. Bridges won for her mixed media piece, “A Happy Spring.”
County Appoints Jurisdictional Medical Director
A new jurisdictional medical director has been appointed by the St. Mary’s County commissioners to manage the quality of patient care that is provided by the county’s Emergency Medical Services Operational Program. Dr. Daniel Geary will start his duties as the JMD on Sept. 5.
