The third annual Veterans Resource Day, presented by the St. Mary’s County Department of Aging & Human Services, is set for Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center at 44219 Airport Road in California, Md. The event will take place from 9 am to 2 pm.

The annual Jack Gelrud Memorial Golf Tournament will be held from 7:30 am to 2 pm Thursday, May 24, 2018, at the Breton Bay Golf & Country Club at 21935 Society Hill Road in Leonardtown, Maryland. The golf event will benefit Three Oaks Center in Lexington Park.

Annmarie Garden will host its trick-or-treating festival, Halloween in the Garden, from 11 am to 4 pm Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017. For the 18th year, youngsters and their families are invited to parade down Annmarie’s wooded path collecting treats and small gifts from more than 70 booths.

Walden Behavioral Health has canceled its annual fundraiser scheduled for Friday, Sept. 29. Walden is urging supporters to support either the official charities set up to support hurricane recovery efforts or to support local homelessness through Three Oaks Center in Lexington Park.
