Volunteers from the Southern Maryland Association of Realtors assisted the St. Mary’s County branch of Sleep in Heavenly Peace with constructing its 500th children’s bed.

Navy Implements New Fire Safety Practices

VADM Roy Kitchener said he is encouraged by new fire safety protocols for ships undergoing maintenance in port. He said among the changes the Navy has invested in fire detection systems and added industrial-environment safety training at surface officer school.

Blue Angels Receive First Hornet for Testing

The first F/A-18 Super Hornet has been delivered to the Blue Angels demo team for testing and evaluation. The jet, which will undergo testing at NAS Pax River, is the first of 11 jets expected to be delivered this year.
