LexiCon Comes to Lex Park Library

LexiCon

Celebrate your fandom by participating in LexiCon, the St. Mary’s County Library’s own version of Comic Con. There will be a variety of events for people of all ages to enjoy ranging from trivia to creative workshops. LexiCon will be held from noon to 4 pm Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at the Lexington Park Library.

Open House Set for Airport Project

An open house to discuss the pending project to relocate  the existing taxiway and expand the apron area at the St. Mary’s County Regional Airport is set for 6 pm Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, inside the Captain Walter F. Duke Terminal Building at the airport. The airport project is in accordance with the Airport Master Plan.

St. Mary’s Celebrates National Aviation Day

The commissioners of St. Mary’s County have issued a proclamation to recognize National Aviation Day, an annual celebration set for Aug. 19 each year. President Franklin Roosevelt proclaimed the first one in 1939 to celebrate the history and development of the aviation industry in the US.
