To raise awareness of the county’s problems with homelessness and hunger, the commissioners have declared the month of November Homelessness and Hunger Awareness Month in St. Mary’s County.

Join us Aug. 30 for the 29th Chaptico Classic run, walk, boogey, or crawl for the Three Oaks Shelter and other charities.
Resources offered at the So. Md. Veteran Stand Down are all still available: Contact Three Oaks to learn more about health care, dental care, housing, employment, counseling, and access to VA benefits.
More than a year in the planning, Three Oak Center’s Southern Maryland Veteran’s Initiative held its first Veterans Stand Down Day last week at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center.
