Piney Point Lighthouse Museum in Piney Point has reopened its galleries, including a variety of new exhibits, to visitors with pre-purchased tickets. The museum has been closed since March due to COVID-19 shutdowns.

Jail Museum Gets Grant for Runaway Slave Exhibit

The Friends of St. Clement’s Island and Piney Point Museums was recently awarded a $2,300 grant from the National Parks Service for a Runaway Slave exhibit at the Old Jail Museum in Leonardtown.

‘Water Taxi’ Painting Donated to Museum

St. Mary’s County artist Nicole Stewart has donated one of her paintings to the St. Clement’s Island Museum. The oil on canvas painting is titled “Water Taxi.” It will be part of the museum’s upcoming art auction fundraiser.
