Museum to Offer Art Classes for Kids
Young artists are invited to explore fine arts this summer through St. Clement’s Island Museum’s Art Kids classes. Participants will experiment with different forms of art, including drawing, painting, simple weaving, sculpting, and other hands-on projects.
Museums Host 2nd Saturday Activities
Residents of all ages are invited to enjoy educational activities at the St. Clement’s Island Museum, US Colored Troops Interpretive Center, and Piney Point Lighthouse Museum on the second Saturday of each month throughout the year.
Black Diamond Remembrance April 26
A remembrance ceremony will be held at 2pm Sunday, April 26, 2026, honoring the 87 lives lost in the Black Diamond Disaster, a tragic Civil War-era maritime accident that occurred near St. Clement’s Island during the hunt for presidential assassin John Wilkes Booth.
